It all started when…

Matt is a seasoned drone operator with over 150 hours remotely piloting aircraft systems (RPAS) experience. He runs Visual Sky Imaging, catering predominantly to marketing-based drone services. Through collaboration with LDS he’s learned more technical applications of drone technology such as photogrammetry & aerial mapping.

Not only is he seasoned in operating a variety of RPAS including FPV, he is a commercial airline pilot. Matt is a Captain for WestJet & constantly amazes clients as to how he achieved this position at such a young age. His thorough understanding of rules & regulations for both RPAS & manned aircraft make him an invaluable member of our team.

Matt is courteous, knowledgeable & exudes professionalism. He requires next to no direction, making him one of our most preferred contract operators. When he isn’t flying drones (or Boeing 737s!) he enjoys spending time with his kids and wife, as well as playing ice hockey.
